  1. I Lost 10 lbs. My First Week!

If you heard a loud whoop of excitement last Thursday morning, it was coming from just north of Boston where I was standing on the scale and celebrating a 10-pound weight loss... after just ONE WEEK on the Diet-to-Go Carb30 meal plan! Yes, I am the editor here at Diet-to-Go. But I am also a big fan of the food and programs offered by this company. In fact, I was a client long before I started working for Diet-to-Go. So, here I am deep into week two. Be sure to follow me as I go from a lifetime high weight of 256 to my first goal of 10% loss, or 25.6 pounds. Weekly weigh-ins will be Thursday mornings when I start the next week of my diet. As of last Thursday I was not only down to 246 lbs., but also celebrating the fact my BMI (Body Mass Index) had shrunk by three full points. The BMI takes your height and weight into consideration and gives you a number that is basically your risk of illness from carrying extra weight. I could go on and on about my newest diet, but let me just tell you a little about the foods on the Carb30 plan. Not only do you get great FULL BREAKFASTS featuring eggs, bacon, cheese and veggies, but last week I feasted on yummy entrees that included Old Fashioned Pot Roast with Creamy Mushroom Sauce, Roasted Pork Loin with Morel Sauce, Herbed Catfish with a Collard Green, and Prime Rib with Red Wine Sauce. I feel better and more energetic... my knees don't ache as much.... and I am not feeling the ups and downs associated with spikes in my sugar levels. It is simply THE BEST DIET I ever followed! If the thought of following a low-carb diet makes you nervous, simply opt for the Diet-to-Go Traditional Low-Fat or our savory Vegetarian Low-Fat plans. All three plans come with 5-week menus and a number of possible alternative meals so you never tire of the food you are eating. Juts to further whet your appetite for this scrumptious Carb30 plan, here is today's menu for me: BREAKFAST: Cheese Omelet with Spinach and Salsa, and Bacon (yes, bacon!) LUNCH: Chicken Pesto Cheddar Melt with a Mustard Green Mix, Broccoli Florets and Cauliflower DINNER: Crab-Stuffed Flounder, Cauliflower with Creamed Spinach, and Green Beans & Parmesan This ain't your mom's tastes-like-cardboard diet plan; this is gourmet dining that just happens to have a side effect of weight loss! Give it a try and stay tuned for my weekly updates. Happy dieting all!
