  1. 10 Tips For Getting Your 8 Glasses of Water

When it comes to healthy weight loss, your philosophy should be water, water everywhere - as in having water on hand at home, on the road, at work and at the gym.

There's an oceanful of health benefits involving water but we'll concentrate solely on how water can help you lose more weight.

Then you can drink in our 10 great tips for working water into your daily routine.

We've all heard the famous bit of dieting advice that says you should drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water each day. In recent years, some folks have disputed the need for so much water, but we urge you to stick with this standard until there's absolute proof it's water overkill.

And remember that caffeinated and alcoholic drinks are usually considered no-no's due to their diuretic properties, but most other flavored drinks do count toward getting your water!

    Cheers!

Recent research showed that people who drank two glasses of water 20 to 30 minutes before every meal lost weight more quickly initially and lost significantly more weight than those who didn't.

A second study found that people who drank water before meals ate an average of 75 fewer calories at that meal. This may not seem like much, but if you ate 75 fewer calories at lunch and dinner for the next year, you could lose about 14.5 pounds!
Your body finds it tough to differentiate between hunger and thirst. By keeping hydrated you'll keep your belly feeling fuller and you'll eat less.

Yes, water just may be the single most important catalyst in losing weight and keeping it off.

So how can you make sure you get enough water each day? Try a few of these tips.

10 Tips For Getting Your 8 Glasses of Water

    1. Make it convenient by keeping a big, insulated water bottle on your desk and reach for it all day.

    2. When you have apple, grape, orange or any other fruit or veggie juice, fill half the glass with water.

    3. Have one glass every hour on the hour while at work. When the work day is done your water quota is met.

    4. Freeze little bits of peeled lemons, limes and oranges and use them in place of ice cubes - it's not it's refreshing but helps you get in a serving or two of fruit.

    5. Don't allow yourself a diet soda until you've had two to four glasses of water. You will find that you soon won't want the soda anymore or that just half a can is enough.

    6. Drink two full glasses at each meal - one before and one after. Also, drink one glass before each snack so you won't eat as much.

    7. Carry a small refillable water bottle at all times and drink during downtime like when you are waiting in a bank line, sitting on a train, or stuck in traffic.

    8. Drink two glasses of water immediately after waking up.

    9. Always keep a bottle of water handy while doing things around your home, like watching TV, doing laundry or making dinner.

    10. Drink your water out of a measuring cup - it's a good way to keep track of how much water you are drinking.

Cheers to you and your weight loss!
