  1. Highlights of Ingredients in Diet-to-Go Meals

Premium, real food ingredients are the basis of every Diet-to-Go meal. Selecting fruits and vegetables of the highest quality gives us more control over the nutritional quality and presentation of our meals. We also choose local produce when it is in season to lessen our impact on the planet.

    Featured Ingredients:

Our chefs take the time to create each meal with fresh ingredients. Here are some highlights:

Salmon – rich in omega 3 fatty acids, our salmon is responsibly raised and sustainable. It is featured on both the Carb 30 and Balance meal plans.

Did you know that most Americans don’t eat enough omega 3 fatty acids? These are the essential fats your body needs and can’t make, so must be present in the foods we eat. Walnuts, salmon and flax are all rich in omega-3’s which benefit the body by reducing inflammation, helping the heart and protecting the brain.

Quinoa – a grain native to South America, quinoa has the distinction of being a complete plant-based protein – it has the perfect balance of all nine amino acids (proteins) that are essential for human nutrition. Quinoa also offers a good dose of fiber and iron. Find it in our Balance and Vegetarian meal plans.

Andouille Sausage – from local producer, Logan’s Sausage, this all-pork sausage is specifically formulated for the Diet-to-Go menu and is higher in quality and taste and is lower in sodium than similar products. Find this delicious sausage in our Carb 30 meal plan.

Garlic – we roast our own garlic cloves for the freshest ingredient possible. Adding roasted garlic enhances the flavor and health benefits of the meal without adding calories. Did you know that most of garlic's health benefit comes from the potent anti-cancer, immune-strengthening and heart disease-preventing antioxidants that it contains?

Agave nectar – agave is most commonly recognized as the plant that tequila comes from. The liquid is derived from this plant is an unprocessed, natural sugar substitute. Most of agave nectar’s sweetness comes from a complex form of fructose (or fruit sugar) called inulin which has a lesser impact on overall blood sugar than table sugar. Agave nectar can be found in some of our Balance and Vegetarian meals.
