  1. Former Athlete Turned CrossFit-Pro Michael Kummer Weighs in on Fitness, Diet-to-Go

It doesn’t matter if you’re thin or overweight, if you’re young or old, if you’re fit or out-of-shape: Healthy living is not something you should put a timeline on. It’s something that you have to do consistently, something that’s a lifestyle change.

That’s the message from Michael Kummer, a health & wellness blogger, CrossFit aficionado and former athlete. Michael was a 100-meter sprinter, competing in the World Championships in 2000 (he took 21st) and in the Junior European Championships in 2001 (he took 5th).

“It doesn’t matter what diet or exercise you do, if you don’t do that consistently, every day, all the time, it’s not going to have the impact you want it to,” Michael said.

Michael made that choice in mid-2017 when he and his wife, Kathy, decided to refocus their lives by trying CrossFit and healthy eating.

“[CrossFit] is strength, it’s conditioning,” he said. “It’s so many things that you never get bored and there is always room for improvement.”

Michael said like most people, him and Kathy were a bit intimidated when they tried CrossFit for the first time. Although not overweight, Kathy had never done any sports in her life and was out-of-shape at the time.

“She did not think she could do it, but the first class she had a coach who she clicked with it,” Michael said.

Michael said finding the right coach was critical for both of them to sticking with it -- and getting to the point they enjoy it.

“You just have to find the right coach and learn the movements so you don’t get hurt,” Michael said. “I would encourage everyone and anyone to give it a shot. Don’t expect to be able to do everything they do. Luckily, there are ways to modify it to make it work for anybody.”

Michael also recently tried out and reviewed our Keto-Carb30 plan, meals he said “try to change the perception of what it means to eat healthy by taking out the complexity and applying a common sense approach.”

Michael said Diet-to-Go is perfect for people who are looking to eat healthy, but don’t know what to cook or how to cook it.

“Even though it sounds simple, eating healthy is difficult,” he wrote on his blog. “There are so many complex layers and aspects to consider when buying and preparing food. As a result, many consumers get overwhelmed and give up.”

That’s where Diet-to-Go comes in, he wrote.

“Diet-To-Go offers flexible meals plans and chef-prepared meals that the company delivers directly to your doorstep. That way, you don’t have to worry about grocery shopping and cooking. I value Diet-To-Go’s approach to healthy eating as a great start on a journey towards a better and more sustainable dietary lifestyle.”
